Popcorn Volunteers

Morrison’s Popcorn Day!

10/20/17

2/2/18

I have a few interested parents, if you are able to make these Friday mornings please email me.

Have  a great weekend!!!

Mrs. Liz

Hi:)
We will have a sign up (hopefully by tomorrow) for teachers. I can choose 2 Friday mornings per year to sell popcorn and all money raised goes to our classroom! One parent goes around with child and picks up orders and $ from classes while other parent starts to pop the popcorn. Then, both can pop and bag the popcorn and pass it out to the school.
Most volunteers get to school around 8:35 and are home by 10:00am.
If this is something you would be able to do, please sign your name under post and I will contact you with dates when I have them.
Thank you!

yogurtopia Day!

Chaperones,

Please be here at 1:50 for us to start walking to Yogurtopia.  We will go if it is raining, so dress your child appropriately.  We will not go if there are thunderstorms in the area.  Mr. Attee, Ms. Cathy, Ms. Sims and I will monitor the weather throughout the day and give updates as needed.

Reminder:  All of these field trips are for the children in this current fourth grade class (including our 1st grade book buddies).  Younger siblings are not allowed to come due to the liability involved.  This is a building and district rule.

Thanks!

We are still in need of coolers, ice and parent volunteers to set up/clean up for the picnic tomorrow!

Thanks

“For the park and pool time to leave, all students report to school at the normal start time (8:35 AM) and ALL classes will leave starting at 9:40 to arrive at the park by 10:00.  Teachers will take attendance and students who are not present at school for the start of the day will be marked absent.  Thank you for your cooperation.”

Tomorrow is Rainbow day! Wear crazy colors:)

Friday is our Field Day.

Our Social Studies Econ projects were amazing! Mr Attee joined us in their presentations, and he was as impressed as I was. This week we will be finishing our Econ unit in social studies. In Math we are continuing story problems with fractions, we are multiplying fractions, solving for area and perimeter.

In reading we are reading for fun…finally! In Writing we are writing informational pieces about products and advertising.

Finally, we are enjoying our last two weeks with each other before vacation.

Thanks!

Have a great week

Please look for the sign up genius for the end of the year picnic.  We will be combining both 4th grade classes and enjoying our picnic together.  Please donate!  Thank you to all of the families that have already signed up.  We are in need of drivers that day as well.  To clarify any miscommunication from the sign up genius, the picnic is on June 13th.  Thank you!

Dear Families

I would like to take this moment to thank all of you who voted for me for “Teacher of The Year.” I am humbled and honored to be nominated. The Ceremony is after school today and I will be attending with other lucky friends from around the district. Being a teacher is my passion and gift, and I am lucky to be a small part of your baby’s life. Thank you for all of your confidence, trust and appreciation for my craft. I can honestly say that your children are like my own and I am so proud of all their success academically and socially this year (and for some since last year).

Finally, I cannot believe I only have a few short weeks left with them. I promise to make them great for your kids.

Thank you again and forever grateful,

Mrs. M
