Valentine’s Olympics Update

Hi Ya’all:)

Tomorrow’s Valentine’s Day Olympics will take place from 9:30 until approximately 10:45/11:00.

We are still short 4 volunteers. If you can help that would be marvelous, thank you!

Remember that the kids are encouraged to wear pink or red for a picture. They can wear pretty outfits but pack tennis shoes for the “Olympic” portion of the party:)

again, 25 students

Thank you in advance for donating or volunteering for your child.

We need volunteers in order to have our party. You will be helping run a station for the 2018 Valentine’s Day Olympics. They are easy “minute to win it” games and super fun! Thank you, please click on above sign up genius for help. Our party will take place in the morning, in the gym and will be a combination of 3rd grade classes.

Then, we will split up and go back to our individual classrooms. If you would like to send in a treat to pass, we have 25 students. Cards can be made out “to a friend” and both cards and snacks will be eaten after the “Valentine’s Day Olympics” in my classroom with only our class.

Students are invited to wear red or pink for a fun group picture.

DuVall Families,

As you enjoy the wonderful winter weather our city is experiencing, please be aware of students walking to/ from school during arrival/dismissal.  Please follow the speed limit near the school.  During arrival/dismissal, please do not park in the bus lane on Beech Street as well as in the no parking zone by the corner of Beech and Military as it creates a bottleneck for traffic and an additional hazard for students walking across the street.  Avoid picking up/ dropping off students in the middle of the street is not safe. When parking, please do not block the driveways of nearby homes or alleyways as it obstructs families from being able to leave their property.  Additionally, several vehicles are parking in the staff parking lot blocking cars and backing up – this puts students at risk if you do not see them as you are backing up.  Thank you for your support in helping all of our children arrive to and leave school safely!

homework change

The students have a science assignment that needs completion per Ms. Cibasek. She would like them back tomorrow. Therefore, do not worry about the math/language arts page. We will do that for bellwork tomorrow.

Thanks!
