Boatsie’s Boxes

OPERATION CHRISTMAS STOCKING:      For many years we have been collecting extra Halloween candy and sending it to the troops through an organization called Boatsie’s Boxes. This year we are changing it up a bit.   What this means to you is that each classroom will be collecting goods that will be put into individual stockings (16”-19”) to be sent overseas to service troops that are serving our country.  We will begin collecting NOW. All items will get shipped November 5th and students will be filling them Friday, November 2nd. Pls. see below your child’s grade level and items to be donated.

3rd=chewing gum, toothbrushes/toothpaste

If you would like to donate more, feel free and you can still send in extra Halloween candy.  You can also make a cash donation in the office to help purchase the stockings if you’d like. Thanks in advance and we think this will make a great addition to the program we do in the spring for the veterans!

Thank You!

Thank you for your participation at Open House, it was lovely to meet you and reconnect with others. Open house and Conferences are my favorite because I can relax and get to know my students’ families better. Thank you to Katie’s Mom and Grandma and JD’s mom for volunteering to pop popcorn, Alex’s Mom who will be our homeroom Mom and to everyone who filled out the surveys. I learned more about your babies and it really helps me to connect on a more personal level (they are still young and we cannot be so serious all day, so when we bring up pets, soccer teams, gymnastics, singing or art it helps get through the day and make it more fun).
