Spring concert
Welcome Back!
Hi Families,
This week we have Parent Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, only if you got a slip. They were went home before break and I will be sending reminders home today. If you have any questions please email me at Morrise1@dearbornschools.org
Report Cards are being sent home later in the week.
We are working on M-Step practice until end of April. They will still be getting books home to read but in class we are focusing on reading comprehension and test taking skills (which includes reading, test taking skills, answering constructed response questions, reading passages on the computer and answering comprehension questions, grammar, typing and formal responses to passages).
We are continuing with math as usual and focusing on geometry skills, solving for area, word problems and multiplication facts.
In social studies we are concluding out economics and growth of Michigan unit. Next we will study government.
Attendance is important. We take our State test in three weeks. Homework is not being completed by all students so please be diligent in checking the planners.
Thank you so much,
Mrs. M

Pennies for Patients
“It’s that special time of year again….Pennies for Patients! It’s time to collect pennies, nickles, dimes, quarters and dollars for kids with cancer. Our goal is to raise $1,700 this year and beat our total of $1,635 from last year! We will be collecting money from March 18-29. Our class has an online page you can donate to as well. The link is provided below. Across the US and Canada, millions of students like yourself raise funds in honor of local patients. Friends, family and neighbors can all contribute to the classroom and school totals! By participating in your school’s program, you and your classmates will be making a huge difference in the lives of patients with blood cancers. You will be joining millions of students across the country who will raise funds to find cures and therapies for diseases like leukemia and lymphoma.”
