If you are willing to drive for the field trip (going to the movies to see the Adam’s Family on the 35th) please fill out the ichat and driver’s license by this Friday in the office. Trip money isn’t due until next week.

In second grade we learned about “benchmark measurements” where they use something like a pencil (that is about 20cm) and use it as a reference to estimate objects when we don’t have a ruler.

We all wrote another personal narrative and published our “Boo-Boo” stories. They will be displayed in the hallway for the month of October.

Reading groups are continuing and thank you for helping your children with the comprehension questions at the end of their books. Constructed responses are so beneficial in developing strong comprehension habits.

In social studies we are continuing with our Map skills, identifying North of, south of, east of, west of… Discuss with your child where Dearborn is in relation to other States, cities and landmarks around us. Also, please have your child learn their Address because we will be plotting mini maps next week.
