Snow Globe Decorations

Hi Parents,

We are making our very own snow globes.  If you to donate glitter, snow flakes, snowy stickers, glitter glue or anything else shiny. I would appreciate it. Put your child’s name on your supplies and I will send it back home Monday:)

Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!

Lansing Chaperones

Thank you to those who volunteered to chaperon, I had an overwhelming response. As stated in the letter, due to limited space on the bus I honored the first five who emailed or posted on my iblog.

Mr. Shatila, Mrs. Petroff, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Sleiman and Mrs. Farhat.

Supporting our Troops

Next week we will be collecting any unwanted candy or extra that you have to send to the troops.  This is the 5th year we’ve done this and we’re proud of our DuVall community for always supporting this worthwhile project!  You can send candy in thru Wednesday, November 5.  All types of candy is acceptable.

Halloween

Next Friday is our Field Trip to the Dearborn Farmer’s Market. We will be walking there in the morning come rain or shine. Dress your child appropriately. Thank you again to my chaperons for volunteering. A permission slip will be sent home tomorrow.

The Halloween party will take place in the afternoon after lunch. I  will be dividing the groups into 5 groups of 6, and they will be estimating pumpkin seeds. The person in the group who comes closest to the actual count will win a pumpkin:) We are also going to be eating yummy treats, a big thank you for everyone who has graciously signed up to send in items. It is going to be a shorter party  than I would have hoped for, but because we have computer lab and music that afternoon along with a parade it is going to be the best “mini” party they have ever had (lol).

Halloween parade – a separate note will be sent home tomorrow from the principle to explain the guidelines.

Happy Thursday:)
