Hi families, friendly reminder that our Halloween party will be Friday, starting at 12:30 and run until almost 2. Please send your child’s costume in a bag and if they are passing a treat they can bring it in tomorrow or Friday. The Parade will take place at 2:00. Happy Halloween!

Hi Families:)

A sign up genius has been sent to you for our Halloween Party, if your child would like to send in treat bags for kids that would be fine with me. We have 24 students. Kids can bring their costumes in a bag on Friday the 30, and will have time to change after lunch. I invite parent volunteers for that day, just let me know in advance so I can plan my groups. Parents who do volunteer, could you please donate a pumpkin for your group?

Another sign up genius has been sent to you for our Michigan Made Fridays. I did not see this yet, but I want to thank you so much for participating. This is part of our 3rd grade “Project Based learning” and we will continue to taste test the items that are sent in, plot them on the Map of Michigan, and then write our reviews.

As most of you know, my older daughter (Felicia) is also in 3rd grade. She attends Barns Elementary in Flat Rock. We are going to be pen pals for the year with her class, and at times we will be sharing pictures. The start of the 2015 -2016 School Year is right around the corner! Participating in the Box Tops for Education program is such an easy way for parents to get involved in their child’s education.  Just by purchasing Box Tops products, clipping the coupons and sending them into school, we can earn cash for our school.

Last year DuVall earned a total of $1,225.40 just by collecting Box Tops.

We will be having 2 contests during the 2015 – 2016 school year. Each DuVall class will collect Box Tops, September through late October and November through late February. The class who collects the most Box Tops for each contest period will receive a class pizza party.
