To Our Colleagues at our Feeder Schools:
As many of you know, the Edsel Ford High School Performing Arts Department will be presenting our production of Disney’s “Freaky Friday – A New Musical” in May 8-9 and 15-16.
I will be opening up our ensemble to students from grades 5-8 who attend one of our Feeder Schools or have siblings at EFHS. I would like to ask for your assistance by announcing this opportunity to your 5-8 classes. There is also one principal role for the younger brother, Fletcher. (Actor to play 7-10 yr old) He must be able to sing and use two different hand puppets.
Auditions will be held on Thursday 5 March from 4-6 pm. Interested students who can not attend during that time need to contact me directly. Audition materials will be taught at the audition. Students should be prepared to read from the script, sing, and dance.Students do NOT need to have previous experience, only a willingness to commit to working on the show and learn.
We very much need your help in spreading the word, especially in our Middle Schools that do not have a vocal music or theatre teacher on staff. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!
Mark your calendars!! See you soon…and THANK YOU!
Robert
