Spreading kindness and peace

For March, in language arts, we are working on comparing stories, myths, or text with similar topics or themes. Since many of my students enjoy watching/listening to online stories, today I thought I’d share two online stories with the themes of being kind to others and spreading peace. This seems very appropriate with everything that is happening in the world. After your child watches these stories, you can talk with them about ways that they can show kindness and spread peace to their world – even in their own home. Stay healthy, everyone!

At home schoolwork

Here are some work packets for your child to work on at home, if you have access to a printer. I have included two different levels.

You can also have your child do some academics on a learning website, such as Khan Academy. Alternatively, you can simply read with your child, have them practice their writing or typing, have them do puzzles or other learning games or activities.

Please continue to be safe and healthy. District information during the school closing is available at: https://firstbell.dearbornschools.org/
