Hello, wonderful families. I hope everyone is staying healthy. I just found out that Dearborn Public Schools will begin providing breakfast and lunch for students beginning tomorrow. Please see my blog or DOJO for more information. I will be emailing DOJO invitations to families that are not currently connected to my class DOJO.
I know it may be difficult to provide academic activities for your child at home, but I wanted to give you some suggestions. Please don’t feel obligated to do structured academic work with your child. You can focus on simply reading with them, playing games with them, cooking/baking with them, teaching them self-care/life skills. Most importantly, try to enjoy this time together as much as you can. Here are some suggestions. I am also attaching some worksheets that you can print off for your child to work on, but these are completely optional. I will keep you updated with information as I receive it from administration. I am available via email (moorhal@dearbornschools.org) or phone (734) 625-4081, if you have any questions or concerns. Stay healthy and enjoy your time together. 🙂
- Limit screen time, or at least have your child take breaks from screen time. You can also have your child use academic-based websites/games (see list below).
- Provide learning activities such as books, puzzles, or learning games.
- If you have access to a printer, I am attaching some worksheets your child can complete (OPTIONAL).
