The entrance to the factory.

Tomorrow we will be leaving DuVall at 9:50 – so chaperones please arrive and be in the lobby by 9:45.
The shuttle for our tour leaves the Henry Ford at 10:20 and we don’t want to miss it!
ALL students need to bring a snack to eat prior to leaving for the trip and a bag lunch to eat here at school when we return (they will be done serving lunch so it will not be available to buy).
This year’s fifth annual Battling Against Hunger drive is a cooperative effort between Dearborn, Edsel Ford and Fordson high schools, with help from the elementary and middle schools that feed into those buildings. We will be helping Edsel Ford with collections. The drive runs from Nov. 18-22nd. The goal is to collect 30,000 canned goods for Zaman International and $7,600 for the Amity Foundation.
The class that collects the most cans at DuVall will win a pizza party.
Thanks for your help!
Thank you to the volunteers we have for popcorn this Friday!
I am sending home a permission slip today for us to go to the Ford Rouge Factory Tour next Thursday, November 21st. All 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders will be going. The cost is $10 per person and the kids will need to bring a lunch to school. We will be going by car, so we will need some wonderful parents to drive us. Please be looking for the permission slip in your child’s homework folder (slips and money due Friday).
This Friday is our turn to sell popcorn. Parents arrive and start popping around 8:15am and are usually done by 11:00. Of course, the more people who help the quicker it will go. Please reply to this post or email me if you can help- even if it’s only for part of the time.
Thank you for your continued support!
