Parents below are your weekly assignment requirements, please make sure your child is reading 30 minutes a day. Doing one math and one Ela article on freckle with questions. Practicing spelling words, writing their morning journal prompt , and daily journal. I will be checking freckle daily and each Friday I will post the student with the most minutes and most improved. Assignments and new spelling words and journal prompts will be updated weekly. For extra support on math you may watch videos on the free site Embarc , go to second grade, module 5 and the lesson number you are working on . The entire lesson is there with a video to help. I am available by email should you have any questions. I also will be calling this week to check on your child’s progress and well bring, I have called most already! Stay safe, and I hope to see all of you soon!

Week 1 Spelling

You can practice your spelling daily by- rainbow writing, putting words in ABC order, Long vowel and short vowel sort, finding words that have the same pattern. Have parents quiz you on your spelling list once a week.

    • Hi, I hope all is well. I have writing prompts on the blog for him to write about daily. Also to keep writing current I want him to write about his day in a blank notebook. He has to date it and use his writing skills to organize his writing. I hope that helps!
