I am so excited to head to Mt. Brighton for the ski trip Friday! Today a rental form will be coming home with the students. Please fill this out and return it to school even if you are coming skiing with us. This will make rentals go much smoother and more time for the slopes! Also remember we are returning to school by 4pm! So don’t forget to come pick up your student 😉

Reminders for Friday:

• bring a lunch or money to purchase food from the snack bar (around $10)
• hats
• gloves (waterproof)
• warm coat
• scarf
• snow pants
• bring rental form with you if not already given to me

The end of the month is here, and that means it is time for our January PBIS celebration! On Monday, January 30th, if your child has maintained positive behavior for the entire month, they will participate in Haigh’s School-Wide Bingo game! The game will be played over the loudspeaker throughout the building so everyone will play together at the same time. This is a super fun event and a great way to recognize the positive behavior throughout our school.

As I am sure you know, NWEA begins this week. Students will be taking reading with their own teachers and the other subjects with their subject area teachers. It is really important that students take NWEA seriously as the district and school use this information. Help your child get a good nights rest and a healthy breakfast in the morning! Make and Take Night – Dec. 15

We will be making Fiction/Non-fiction reading comprehension cootie catchers with bookmarks, playing multiplication race with boards and dice to take home, and beach ball word toss with beach balls and markers to take home.

On Friday we finally got to meet with out book buddies! We had an awesome time reading and getting to know our new 1st grade friends!

I hope you all have a very happy Thankigiving and enjoy this 5 day break!

We had an awesome time at the Mad Science assembly today! We learned about air, fire, and chemicals!

Cookie orders will be ready for pick-up TODAY from 2:30 – 3:30 pm. Due to a lack of refrigeration, orders should be picked up asap to prevent spoilage. Parents can come through the office and the orders will be distributed in the hallway across from the cafeteria.
