Who will be the Reading Rockstars of April?

Who will be my two Reading Rockstars for APRIL?

To pick the winners, I will be looking at Readworks Articles, iReady, Raz Kids, and Epic data. I looked yesterday, and I noticed that we need to jump back into reading.

Listed below are all the reading resources that are available to you now:

1. Readworks Articles – on Google Classroom

2. iReady – Click https://dearbornschools.org/student-portal/ Then, press Clever (students might have to log in through their Google Account). Then, press the iReady button (it’s on the very bottom).

3. Raz-Kids – The students should have their login information in the front of their planner – go to https://www.raz-kids.com/ to login

4. Epic- Epic is an awesome reading website/app that is offering free accounts to students until June 30th, 2020. I have sent each of you an email (the email linked to Class Dojo) for you to make an account. If you didn’t get an email, message me on Class dojo or email me with an email that you would like to use. I will send you another invitation for a free account. This website includes popular books, videos, and audiobooks. There are so many books that the kids love including titles like Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Whatever After, Big Nate, Goosebumps, The 39 Clues, Minecraft, and Lego Book series.

I will be picking the winners on May 1st!

Now, find a comfy spot, keep your pajamas on, and start reading!

Assignment Overview Video

We have posted the video of the student question and answer meeting from this morning. Throughout the 20 minutes Miss Vuichard and I answered some questions the students had regarding their work. We also had a mini lesson on how to answer questions with evidence for Readworks. Said Deep also shared how to view the student’s email. Final Thoughts for Friday, April 17th

Thank you for all your hard work this week 4th graders. Most of you are completing all assignments which is GREAT!

For students who HAVE NOT completed assignments, I have sent emails to Parents and Students (Check your student’s Gmail to look for the emails) to inform you what assignments are missing. Parents and Students check the “Vuichard 19-20 Google” Classroom for all assignments. Students will have until Sunday, April 19th to complete all assignments from this week.

Parents, there will be new information coming out early next week about how school is going to be like for the rest of the year. I will post any information I received from the district on the Blog and on here, so please look out for that information.

For now, it is important to keep up with assignments and get on a weekly schedule for how your student is going to complete the assignments throughout the week. I am here to help, so please let me know if you need assistance.

Please have a good weekend and be safe!
