Final Announcements for the Week

Thank you to the students and families that could join us for a Google Meet chat today. It was great seeing and talking to each and everyone of you! We are planning our next Zoom Chat (yes, we can use Zoom again) for Monday, March 30th at 12:00 p.m. Please download the Zoom App on your computer or phone if you would like to join! I will send out the invitation on Monday.

Also, please take the Math Exit Ticket, and the Weekly Survey. If you want to take the weekend to finish the assignments, we would greatly appreciate it.

Please complete the survey below together. This survey is our way for the 4th Grade Teachers to check in on our families during online learning. It also serves as a check list of assignments that should have been completed by today. If you did not complete the assignments, then please take the time over the weekend to complete them before Monday.

Reading Resources!

Who will be my two Reading Rockstars for March?

To pick the winners, I will be looking at Readworks Articles, and iReady and Raz Kids data. I looked yesterday, and I was impressed to see how many students were logging on to read! Keep it up!

Listed below are all the reading resources that are available to you now:

  1. Readworks Articles – on Google Classroom
  2. iReady – Click https://dearbornschools.org/student-portal/ Then, press Clever (students might have to log in through their Google Account). Then, press the iReady button (it’s on the very bottom).
  3. Raz-Kids – The students should have their login information in the front of their planner – go to https://www.raz-kids.com/ to login
  4. Epic- Epic is an awesome reading website/app that is offering free accounts to students until June 30th, 2020. I have sent each of you an email (the email linked to Class Dojo) for you to make an account. If you didn’t get an email, message me on Class dojo or email me with an email that you would like to use. I will send you another invitation for a free account. This website includes popular books, videos, and audiobooks. There are so many books that the kids love including titles like Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Whatever After, Big Nate, Goosebumps, The 39 Clues, Minecraft, and Lego Book series.

I will be picking the winners on April 1st!

Now, find a comfy spot, keep your pajamas on, and start reading!
