Thank you parents who came last night to open house! It was great to meet you 🙂

This weekend there is only reading homework.

Starting next week, though, students will be bringing home a packet of math homework for the entire week. They will be doing one page each night. It will cover topics that we are working on in class.

Reminders

  • Permission slips for the field trip to the Nature Center are due Monday, September 18th.
  • 3rd Grade Parent Meeting is Tuesday, September 19th from 3:45 to 4:30 in room 32
  • 4th Grade Parent Meeting is Wednesday, September 20th from 8:00 to 8:30 in room 1

** 3rd Grade Parents: There will be a City of Dearborn Fire Safety Education Program Flyer coming home today with your student. This is for a trip to the Dearborn Fire Department’s Fire Safety House. I will inform you on the date and time at a later date.

Homework and Reminders

Homework for September 13:

Spelling: Write a short story using ALL the spelling words.

Reading: 30 minutes at home, on a stickie note write down aprediction that they made in their book and confirm it!

Math: Find a right angle, acute angle, or obtuse angle at yourhouse and do the following: remember it, write it down, or bring itin. Students will be sharing their examples tomorrow.

Reminders:
– Open House is tomorrow from 6:30 to 7:00 PM
– Field Trip Permission Slips due Monday, September 18th
– Bring in family photo tomorrow

First Field Trip Information

Today in your child’s folder there will be a permission slip for our Oakwoods Metro Park Nature Center field trip. This will be an all day field trip from 9:15 am to 2:30 pm. The cost of this field trip will be 10 dollars.

We are looking for parent chaperones! Please fill out the bottom of the permission slip if you interested and able to. The permission slips are due September 18th!

I am looking forward for our first field trip!
