Homework and Announcements for the week:

**NWEA Testing will start Tuesday, May 15th. I plan to test in the morning for tomorrow, Wednesday and Friday this week. We will be taking the Math and Reading NWEA Test for the next two weeks. 

Math: We will start our last unit of math this week! There will be homework every day.

Spelling: There will be no spelling or academic vocabulary due to Field Day, NWEA Testing, and our Field Trip next week. We will continue spelling next Monday.

Reading: Reading Comprehension Worksheet every night instead of reading log. Students should read for 30 minutes.

Please try to use MyOn at home if you can.

River Raisin National Battlefield Park Permission Slips due this FRIDAY!

Field Trip Information

When: Thursday, May 17th

Where: River Raisin National Battlefield Park in Monroe

Time: 9:00 am to 2:30 pm

Cost: $4.00 per student

If you want to chaperone, turn your child’s permission slip in by TOMORROW! This will allow time for the office to check if you have a background check or not.

Online Practice for M-STEP ELA and Math

The online Sample Item Sets are a select group of test items in ELA, mathematics, science, and social studies that encompass different item types, such as multiple choice, constructed response, and various kinds of technology-enhanced items. The sets provide students, teachers, and parents practice in solving grade-level and content-specific test items aligned to Michigan’s academic content standards.

There is one way to get to the online Sample Item Sets:

1) Anyone can access the Sample Item Sets through the Chrome browser at https://wbte.drcedirect.com/MI/portals/mi/.

The directions to access the sample items:

a) M-STEP is on the left side;
b) Select “Online Tools Training”
c) Select “Sample Item Sets”
d) Select the grade
e) Select the content area
f) Login with the Username and Password provided on the login screen
