Homework for Sept. 24 to 28

Homework and Announcements for the week:

Math: Study for Mid-Module Test on Thursday. Study guides will be coming home today and tomorrow.

Spelling:  Spelling list will go home today. Students will be doing spelling activities throughout the week to get them ready for their test on Friday.

Reading: 20 minutes

4th Grade Weekly Homework Sheet: Complete one box each day. It will be collected on Friday for a homework grade.

Narrative Writing Unit

Students are working hard this week on the Narrative Writing Prompt: Why is Fall the best season to you? Students were the teachers today to teach their classmates about the structure of a narrative writing piece.

Ask your child: What are the parts of a narrative writing piece?

 

Homework Sept. 17 to Sept. 21

Homework and Announcements for the week:

Math: pg 37 #1 a, c, and d pg 38 #3 (Please check your child planner and the “Daily Math Homework” tab for homework during the week)

** Math Homework is NOT OPTIONAL! Students must complete homework. I will post the homework answer on my blog in a “Math Homework Answers” tab. Succeed books are going to be brought to school for me to check one lesson’s homework. This will be either credit or no credit grade.

Field Trip Announcement!

We will be going to the Oakwood Nature Center on Thursday, October 4th. We do need chaperones that have a background check. If you do not have one, please contact the office and get one done. Permission slips will be due Thursday, September 20th.

For the weekend, there is no homework except for reading!

On Monday, we will start Lesson 7 (Topic C- Check out Parent Tips for Eureka Math for guidance). This lesson will be covering rounding multi-digit numbers. I have included a video for you to get familiar with this lesson.
