I hope everyone had a wonderful, relaxing, and safe Labor Day weekend! Welcome to our first official week of school! Fingers crossed for no technology issues this week and tons of learning!

Tomorrow, we will start our Zoom meetings at 8:55. Our schedule for this week will be live lessons from 8:55-10:20, and 10:30-11:45. Please be mindful that this is pending no issues with technology and everything going perfectly according to plan! 🙂 Please make sure to have your child on time with a whiteboard, marker, and a designated notebook for a reading responses for block one, and math books near them for block 2.

Here is our schedule for the week. This schedule may change, barring technology issues and things taking longer than expected, but right now, this is what our week looks like. Starting tomorrow, all of our lessons will also be recorded so the students can reference them as needed as well, and posted in Schoology.

This week, we are also going to begin to schedule meetings in the afternoon from 1:30-3:50 to assess students in reading. Please check out the sign up genius link and find a time that works for you. Please note that students must wear a mask when entering the building and parents will be asked to wait outside of the building. Each sign up is scheduled for 25 minutes.

For this week:

  • Please make sure to check email daily. Tomorrow’s Zoom link will be emailed. All others will be accessed through Schoology.
  • Start to familiarize yourself with Schoology (parent accounts have not been set up yet, will send out more info on that when available).  See this video for more information on how to access.  Students and I will go over how to access together tomorrow. **Students will access Schoology using their student ID numbers@dearbornpublicschools.org, and their passwords (bdays).
  • Please sign up for a time to bring your student in to be assessed for reading: Link Here
  • Everyone received a link in their email for a digital library through Epic!.  Please click that link to confirm your child’s subscription through that service.  If you did not receive a link, please let me know.
    • When students login, our class code is qed5260
  • Please make sure that your child has a set spot for learning every day that is quiet, comfortable, and organized
