Dear Families,
We made it to spring break! I know it probably isn’t the usual relief we would feel when we arrive at this break, but please allow yourselves some time to relax this week. There won’t be any actual assignments sent out on Monday. I will send out some extra, fun things on Monday in case you are interested, that you can do during the week with your family. Please peruse them at your leisure if you are interested. If your student is behind on some of the work from the last 3 weeks and you want them to catch up, they can also use next week to do that.
I will still post daily read aloud videos though, so please be on the lookout for those. Monday at 11:30 we will also do our weekly virtual class session if your student wishes to attend. Google released a Chrome extension that will allow your child to see a grid view in our classroom while we are chatting if you want to install it (and if you are using Google Chrome as your browser). You can click here to download that extension. I will send out the link for our virtual meeting on Monday morning at 11:30.
Lastly, Mr. Short sent out a schoolwide note on his blog regarding some information the Governor shared yesterday. The link to his note can be found here. Please take some time to read it as it contains some important information regarding the rest of the school year. It also contains a link to a video that the Haigh staff put together for all of you. You can watch that video here. We miss you, and we hope to see you soon. Have a wonderful spring break.
Miss Sellers
