I hope everyone had a very enjoyable Memorial Day weekend!
Reminders:
Donuts for Dads: Invitations are being sent home today. Please RSVP and return them to school by Friday! With work schedules, I would like to know who can attend or who else might be coming!! Donuts for Dads will be on Friday, June 7th at 9:00. It lasts about an hour.
I have also created a sign-up genius just like Muffins for Moms. If anyone can bring anything in that day, please sign up for a slot!

Field Trip:
Our field trip is this Friday. We will be returning to school at 2:30. Please dress your child in comfortable clothing, tennis shoes, and have sunscreen applied before school starts! We will be outside and will be doing some walking. Please send lunches that day in paper bags to be disposed of. There is not a place to store lunch boxes.
Spelling Tests:
This Thursday will be our last spelling test! Assessments are still happening, but reading groups should be a little bit more normal this week! I am asking that all reading bags and books to be returned to school this Friday. Although we will still be reading and doing reading groups until the last day, I am starting to collect books that were sent home.
Language Arts: We are comparing adventures in stories this week using a double bubble map. In writing we will be working on our Donuts for Dads books.
Math/Science/Social Studies: We are working on Module 5 Lessons 23-24 this week and taking our Module 5 assessment. Please continue to do the homework at home. We did skip some lessons due to content already being taught and our group this year. In science, we are growing yet another thing- radishes! Students will be coming home with these on Friday to continue the process! (I don’t want them to sit over the few days off without being watered) In social studies, we are focusing on a classroom issue and creating a poster to display ways we can solve it. The classroom issue we picked is using too much paper. You can discuss this week with your child on how to solve this issue and how this issue could affect our environment!
