I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I had a great time in Mexico- the weather was 85 and sunny for most of the trip:)

ELA/Writing: In writing, we are completing our rough drafts of our opinion essays. In ELA, we will be learning key details (explicit information vs. drawing conclusions) in fiction writing. Students should be bringing books home and coloring in their nightly reading log for December!!

Math: We are learning how to multiply using different strategies this week (area model, partial products, and standard) Our goal is to do lessons 8-11 this week! Keep working on basic facts at home- it will help a lot!
Science/Social Studies:
In science, we are moving onto Mystery 7 in our Energy Unit. Students will be discovering heat as a source of energy. In social studies, we are continuing to talk about migration and immigration. We are also The Great Migration and the Underground Railroad.
