Happy Monday Everyone! Here is a look at today:
Big Blue Button: This is a new platform that the district is using to do video lessons/chats with students. I did the training this past week and I would like to try it this week with students! Students do have to enroll in order to have access, here is how to do it:
1. Go to dearbornschools.org
2. Go to the Student Portal
3. Click the iLearn Classrooms icon. It looks like this (highlight in orange)

4. Students may have to login again using their school’s username and password (this is how they would login to their chromebooks)
5. Once on iLearn, you will see a box that says ENROLLMENT CODE at the very top.
6. Students need to type in our class enrollment code: htezzz
7. They will be enrolled in my course and will see a link called Virtual Sessions Hull under the Big Blue Button topic. That is how they will join our video chats! It works the same as Google Hangouts/Meets.
Students cannot join the session until I am in. We will do our sessions on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. I will put more information on Tuesday that you need to know. Try to enroll in the iLearn course by Tuesday please. Let me know if you have troubles!

Writing
-We are still working on our president informational writing. You have done the EARLY LIFE section and I have returned it back to you. Next step was to do the PRESIDENCY section.
Assignment:
1. Turn in the DOC with the PRESIDENCY section all done about your president.
2. I will return the DOC to you.
3. Tuesday you will get started on the AFTER LIFE section. That will be due Wednesday.
Math
-We are learning lesson 15 today: Find common units to compare fractions. The goal is to change the bottom (denominator) to the same number in order to add and subtract easily. Please watch the WHOLE video to help you- I would even recommend watching the Eureka video too. This is a BIG fraction concept for students to understand.
Assignment:
1. Eureka video. It is optional to try the homework while watching and check with the answer key.

3. Problem Set. Must do: 1 a,b,c,d,e,f. You must draw a picture for each one and rename the fraction using multiplication.
Reading
-This week we are not doing a Readworks article, instead- I have assigned a whole class book on Raz Kids called: Who Likes Lemonade. It ties in so nicely with that we learned last week in Social Studies. Students need to read and do the quiz by Friday. The goal is to get a 8 out of 10 or higher. You can keep retaking as long as you need! This will be due Friday.
If you forget how to login or access Raz Kids- here is how:
1. Go to www.kidsa-z.com
2. Type in my name: MrsHull207 (no spaces). You do not need to do this every time.
3. Find your name. Type in your password: 1234
4. Go to assignments at the bottom of your screen to find the book.
**We will be doing our Wonder read Tuesday at 12:30**
