Our first week of March’s Reading Month has been a hit! Keep checking the calendar for updates on what is going each day.
Here is a look at our week:
ELA/Writing: In writing, we are finishing up our compare/contrast rough drafts. We will then type the final draft to get some typing practice in! In ELA, we are going to work on some inferencing skills this week.

Math: On Monday, we will be getting our Mid-Module Study Guide (Module 4 is short!) It will be do next Monday and the test will be next Tuesday. We will learn lessons 6-7 this week. These are long lessons so it may take two days for each lesson. *Students will be getting a set of protractors to use at school and at home. Please make sure these are sent to school everyday- we only have one set!
Science/Social Studies: In science, we will be starting a new unit on Earth and Rocks. We will begin with a Volcano investigation. In Social Studies, we will be getting our Unit Test scores back on Monday. We will start a new unit on responsibilities of citizens.
Important Dates:
– Tuesday: Spring Photos (12:10-12:25) Every student takes one
– Friday: Half Day
* Permission slips are going home this week about a 4th grade field trip to watch a music symphony. The trip is free and it is for the morning only. The field trip is on the 19th- Permission slips are due on Friday!
