I hope everyone had an enjoyable and restful break!
Here is a look at our week back:

ELA/Writing: We will be starting the new year with some New Year’s Resolutions goals for writing. We will then start out new writing unit, Informational Writing. I will be sending home Opinion Writing Grades this week. In ELA, we will be working on comparing and contrasting informational text. We will also be learning about regular and irregular plural nouns.

Spelling (Week 16)

Math: We will be learning lessons 16-19 this week (long division). Make sure to keep practicing multiplication facts at home!

Science/Social Studies: In science, we will be starting a new unit on sound, waves, and communication. We will be creating the “classic” string and cup telephones for our first investigation. In social studies, we will be finishing up our unit on Human Geography. We will be looking at houses can be modified to fit the environment we live in. We will be getting a study guide this Wednesday and our Unit test will be next Wednesday.
