Create a rhythm!

Hello students! Here is a link to this week’s lesson for students in second, third, fourth and fifth grade. You will be playing and creating rhythm patterns using quarter notes, eighth notes and quarter rests. Click the link below and follow steps 1, 2 and 3. Next week we will continue with the rest of the steps. You can clap or pat the rhythms, or play them on any instrument that you have at home! If you don’t have an instrument…make one out of household items (be sure to ask your parents permission first). Two pencils make excellent rhythm sticks, for example. Be creative and have fun!
Please let me know when you have completed your assignment by leaving a comment here on the blog, or emailing me a screenshot of the rhythm you created at rafferb@dearbornschools.org.
