Steps to Earn a Belt
- Each new piece introduces a new note, new rhythm, or a new musical term. Check the bottom of each page for new information.
- Look for new notes, rhythms, or music terms in each song.
- Say the rhythms (ta, titi, rest, ta-a)
- “Chin” and sing the pitches of the song.
- Play the pitches and rhythms. START SLOWLY!
- Call Mrs. Duncanson’s number ONLY after you have learned the song!
- Duncanson’s Recorder Number 313-355-3602
- Call number above.
- Say your name, your teacher, and the song you will play.
- Play your song and hang up.
- You will receive a message from me about your playing.
- Below is my grading rubric:

| 5 | Plays with no mistakes and good tone & rhythm. |
| 4 | Plays with a few mistakes in pitches or rhythm. |
| 3 | Plays with several mistakes in pitch or rhythm. |

OMG! I got my blue belt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I know my red belt. It’s SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO easy. I learned it in like 5 minutes!

I saw the brown belt but I looked on my sheet of paper and I said what! So after that I was playing with you and then I cap on playing it and rewind it all the time to see if I got it but I got some of it and the thing you said about the bother I don’t know where it is! And it camfused me about amazing grace.

Hello Saleh! The Greenbelt song is under the recorder tab. I have four different videos which will show you how to practice and play the Greenbelt song.
When were done with the black belt what happens then.?
