Today we looked at the effects of the atomic bomb by watching these two videos:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwkyPvlWPM0&safe=active and  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcJ_xGvnBdU&safe=active. We also looked at these photos from when I went to Hiroshima: Hiroshima pics and then tried to figure out why this happened by reading these: Atomic Bomb Stuff (page 2 is blank. Keep going through.)

Today we turned in the D-Day letter (DDay stuff). Today we did this activity, IslandHoppingCampaign and answered these questions: Island Hopping Activity

Today we experienced D-Day in WWII with this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=82RTzi5Vt7w. For homework you must look at that video, this document DDay stuff, and write a letter describing what happened to you on D-Day (you’re pretending to be a soldier), and why D-Day was so important.

For homework, take this document Nearing the End of the WWII in Europe and take some notes on the Battle of the Bulge and the liberation of concentration camps as well as answering questions 3 and 4.

Today we had a quiz on US mobilization during WWII. We also finished and turned in the WWII Webquests. See Wednesday’s date to find the document if need be.
