You are required to do some learning over the summer by going on line through Clever on the Dearborn Public Schools website and logging into Khan Academy. We have attached a powerpoint with directions as well as a parent letter that informs your parents about the requirement for summer learning. This will be one of your very first grades in 7th grade Math. Please do not wait until August to begin.

Have a wonderful summer!

This is the last week of school for this school year. It has been quite challenging these last 12-13 weeks with online learning. So there are no new assignments this week. So if you have completed all your assignments, you are done for the year. If you still have missing work, you have until 3:00 pm on Wednesday to complete your late work. When you have completed your late work, please email Mrs. Schuit so she can change your grade in the gradebook. All of you can see your current grade for marking period 4 in student connect/parent connect. It is up-to-date as of 11:30 pm on June 7th.

There will be summer learning for you all and your 7th grade Math teachers will be giving you a grade for your work. It will be on Khan Academy and you will need to login in on Clever through the Dearborn Public School website. We will put all the directions up on the blog this week. So be watching for it.

On another note, Mrs. Schuit has officially decided to retire and is looking forward to new adventures. We both wish you all a wonderful and safe summer and of course, a terrific year in 7th grade at Bryant.

Take care and enjoy your summer!!!

This week we are working on Stats and Probability doing measures of center and variability. So we will be working on Lesson 27 in iReady and in IXL GG 4, 18, 19, 20 and HH 4 & 7. This will take you some time to complete so do not wait until the last minute to work on them. Mrs. Blaylock put together a video for you so please view it first before working on the lessons and IXL. It is posted on Google Classroom.

Remember all work is due on Sunday, June 7th at 9:00 pm.

This week we are working on the last lesson of geometry which is volume. We have included a video on volume on Google Classroom. Please watch the video before you attempt the IXL lessons or the iReady lesson.

The IXL lessons for this week is FF 14 only and the iReady lesson is Lesson 25. Remember that you have to go through the lesson on iReady and then take the quiz. If you pass the quiz, you are done. If you do not pass the quiz, then you need to rewatch the lesson and take the quiz again. If you still do not pass, you are done and you will receive credit for your work.

Have a great week and don’t wait until Sunday night to do your work. We begin checking in assignments at 9:00 pm Sunday.

Email us if you need assistance.

This week we are dealing with Surface Area and Nets. So your iready and IXL assignments will be dealing with these two things.

iReady will consist of Lesson 24 which is all about surface area and nets. I have attached a video to Google Classroom for you to view. You may have to watch it more than once so please be patient.

The IXL also deals with surface area and nets. You are responsible for completing FF-16, FF-18 and EE- 3. Again, these will be challenging so you need to work on them in the beginning of the week and not wait until Sunday night to complete them.

Remember all work is due on Sunday, May 24th by 9:00 pm. Next weekend is a holiday weekend so you might want to complete all your work by Friday so you can enjoy the 3-day weekend.

I will not post work until Tuesday, May 26th for that week.

Good Luck!

The focus of this week is identifying how to plot points in the coordinate plane. Mrs. Schuit has recorded a video of how to solve these problems.

You must complete Lesson 23: Polygons in the Coordinate Plane in iReady. Remember you need to do the lesson and then take the quiz right after the lesson. If you do not pass the quiz, you will need to redo the lesson and then try the quiz again. If you don’t pass the quiz the second time, you are done. You will receive credit for your effort.

The instructional text pages for lesson 23 are on Google Classroom. These are optional but there if you want to look them over.

In IXL, you must complete CC 8 only. So IXL is not as in depth this week.

Remember that all your work is due by Sunday, May 17th at 9:00 pm.

Please do not wait until the end of the week to do your assignments as we are here all week to assist you. So just send us an email if you are in need of help.

This week we are solving area of parallelograms, quadrilaterals, and polygons. So the IXL lesson are FF-3, 4, 5, 6, & FF-24. Don’t forget to do FF-24 as well.

For iReady, we are doing both the lesson and the quiz for Lesson 22. You need to complete both the lesson and the quiz to get a grade. The lesson video is posted on Google Classroom.

The instructional text pages for Lesson 22 are posted on Google Classroom. They are optional. The answer key will be posted later in the week.

Both IXL lessons and Lesson 22 (Lesson & Quiz) are due on Sunday May 10th by 9:00 pm. Please do not wait until the end of the week to do the work as you may forget to complete the work.

This week lesson is solving inequalities. Mrs. Blaylock made a video to correspond with Lesson 20 in iReady. So you need to view her video and then complete Lesson 20 in iReady including the quiz. Also you will need to complete IXL lessons Z-1, Z-2, AA-1 & AA-2.

The video is posted on Google Classroom as well as the Instructional Text pages for Lesson 20. The answers to the instructional Text pages will be posted later this week.

Remember that your assignments are due on Sunday, May 3, 2020 by 9:00 pm. Please don’t wait to do the assignments until the weekend. Both of us are here during the week to answer your emails about the work and we are really not checking our emails on the weekends.

So just remember that you have two grades each week, one is the lesson quiz on iReady and the other is your IXL grades.
