Kickball Forms are DUE TODAY!

If you did not send in your RSVP for kickball today (Yes or No we need the forms please!), please bring it with you at dismissal. We have to have a count to order pizza. If your child did not bring home a note, I will have some at dismissal. Cost is $5 per child. (Not per person, just $5 for your child). I appreciate it!

Tomorrow is the big day!!

Are you ready for the Detroit Zoo? Or should I ask if the Detroit Zoo is ready for us?!?!

Please remember to dress for the HOT weather! Hats, sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended.

Your child does NOT need to bring their backpack tomorrow.

Please make sure they have a FULL lunch in a disposable bag along with a disposable water bottle. They will be carrying their lunch at the zoo so a plastic bag (like a Target/Walmart/Kroger bag) is the easiest way. Please label it!

We took our VERY LAST spelling and dictation test today! Woohoo! I sent both their spelling test book and their dictation sentence book home today. They are theirs to keep. Please take a second to look through the dictation book and you will see how far they all have come this year. I am so proud of them! Oh, and today’s spelling test does not count. 🙂 It was a super short week and I didn’t think it was fair to “grade” it.

I will see you all in the morning!

Let’s Play Ball!

(and have a picnic!)

On Wednesday, June 7th at 2:15pm the Kindergarten and First Grade Classes will be hosting a family kickball tournament and picnic. Each class will be divided into two groups to play against each other. Parents will be joining their child’s class to play. We are looking to promote good sportsmanship and just plain old fashioned fun. After playing one game of kickball, we will all gather for a celebratory picnic. Pizza and water will be served. We are asking for a donation of $5 per student (yes, younger siblings are welcome.) Also feel free to bring your own snacks to enjoy with your family. Don’t forget to bring your blankets/chairs!

To RSVP for this fun event please fill out and return the bottom portion of the form in your child’s folder by Monday, June 5th. .

*If you are interested in helping setup and/or clean up please reach out to your child’s teacher and let them know. We appreciate your support. *

Zoo Trip!

There was an error on the permission slip and information sheet for the Zoo Trip. We do NOT have school on Friday May 26th so the slips are due THURSDAY MAY 25th. We are NOT able to accept late slips/money due to the fact that we must order tickets on the 29th. Please have the slips and money in to me by Thursday May 25th!

Also, if you will be attending the trip as a ‘visitor’ and not a chaperone, please buy your tickets ASAP! Not only is this cheaper, but it is the ONLY way to guarantee that you are able to get tickets as they are a VERY limited amount of tickets available at the gate. Use this link: https://detroitzoo.org/tickets/

If you have a membership to the Detroit Zoo, please fill out the permission slip and write “Membership” on it. will speak to you about how we will enter the zoo.

Thank you and we can’t wait!

A huge THANK YOU!!

I can’t thank you all enough for the beautiful flowers, the yummy snacks, the gifts and the gift cards!

It has been an honor to be your child’s teacher for the last year, (or 2 or 3!) and I will be so sad to see the year end. Please know I appreciate all the support and love you all have shown me. Thank you again!
