Pumpkin Raffle Tuesday and Wednesday

Howard teachers and staff will be decorating pumpkins to raffle off for Halloween.  Tickets will be sold on Tuesday and Wednesday during lunch. Each ticket is $1.00 or 6 tickets for $5.  Please send money in an envelope or baggie. Proceeds will be used to purchase fleece to make blankets for the animals at the animal shelter.  If your child wins a decorated pumpkin, it will need to be picked up on Thursday. We will call home to let you know if your child is a winner!

Just a Reminder…

October book reports are due next week. Book report requirements are written on bright pink paper. Students have been encouraged to bring home their book report requirements and share with their parents. Sample picture timelines are posted in the classroom.

I have noticed many parents are not signing student planners, students are not filling out their planner completely, and students are not taking home the necessary materials to complete classwork and/or study for tests/quizzes.

It is not too late! By sharing student progress with parents, you can see the area(s) your child needs to focus on prior to the end of the card marking. In addition, parents can check Parent Connect for specific assignments, quizzes, tests, etc.

Progress reports will be sent home with your child tomorrow. Please review your child’s progress to date in the four core subject areas. Sign and Return.
