As we enter the second marking period, we could take a deep breath because we have completed Math Module 1- Multiplication and Division.  We took our Math Module 1 test and now we can move on to Module 2.  Module 2 covers time and measurement.  Your child will be coming home with homework that will involve two-step equations that will include time and measurement concepts so it is important to keep yourself informed in order to better support your child with his or her work.  We have included a Parent Notes as a guide and resource for you to help your child with Module 2.  We will also send a hard copy with your child but feel free to access the Parent Notes from our Third Grade Blog.

Week of September 17 through September 21, 2018

Last week, our 3rd grade level successfully launched our new Math curriculum, Eureka Math.  We are learning how to adjust to the new Math program and most importantly we are learning Math with a new and positive attitude.

We began Module 1 which is all about learning the properties of multiplication and solving problems with units 2-5 and 10.

We are sharing a great resource provided by Khan Academy that will supplement with your child’s daily homework in the next couple of weeks.

Please click on the link below to explore what we are currently working on in our class.
