Ramadan Kareem

Ramadan Kareem to everyone. Wishing everyone health, peace, and happiness. I hope you enjoy this story about Rashad’s Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr.

Now make your own calendar for the month. All you will need is paper, a ruler, and some crayons or markers.

*Get a sheet of paper and make two lines across the top. *Write Ramadan as the name of the month. *Make seven lines going down (vertically) for the seven days of the week. Start with Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Now draw about 4 lines across (horizontally).

Write the number 1 in the Friday box because today is the first day of Ramadan. Tomorrow, you will write the number 2, and so on. *Decorate your calendar. *Now you will have your own Ramadan calendar!

Please share your calendar with me every week so I can see you practicing writing the numbers!

April 22 is Earth Day!

Let’s protect and honor our one and only Earth.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LT8Tl7VBZ5Q

Now let’s make a promise to take care of the Earth. You will need everyone in the family to participate, paper, scissors, crayons/markers.

  1. Have everyone trace their hand.

2. In the middle of their hand, write a promise that they will make to keep our earth clean and healthy! You can use the ideas in the story.

3. Decorate it, but don’t cover the words.

4. Everyone should cut out their own paper. You can do it by yourself! Take your time.

5. Discuss your promises and hang the hands to remember your promises to take care of our Earth!

Here’s my promise to the Earth. Now share yours!!

ZAP!!

ZAP is a wonderful game that can be played with the whole family! The first step is to fold about 3 sheets of paper.

Now draw the dots

Cut and fold the cards

Now, you’re ready to play!!

You can also ZAP with the alphabet!! Follow all the above steps, but write uppercase and lowercase letters on the folded papers.

Have fun!! Remember to send me a picture or video of your family playing ZAP!!
