Hello parents. Many of you have asked for sites that promote early literacy and here is a great one!! Start with the books in level A. Listen and read along to the story first and then with your supervision and help complete some of the literacy activities on different days. https://flying-start-digital-activities.com/
Please remember to read to your child daily, and have them read to you!
Language, Literacy, & Communication – all this changing weather made me think about the four seasons. Watch the video, and think about which season is your favorite.
Which season is your favorite? Can you guess which one is mine? Draw a picture of your favorite season and tell why it’s your favorite. Send me your pictures so we can make a graph of our favorite season.
Mathematics – Let’s play Domino Numbers.
Physical Development and Health – Remember parachute game??
You can play it at home! If the whole family is participating, you’ll need a sheet and some socks rolled up, stuffed animals, or small balls. . You can use a towel if you are playing with just another person. Play some music and have fun keeping the socks on the sheet/towel.
Language, Literacy, & Communication – watch the video to help figure out what the mystery pile is.
Now let’s write in our journals.
Don’t forget to send me a picture of what you think it could be? Remember that I’ll share what it turned out to be on Thursday!
Mathematics – As I was going to front door to get the mail, I stumbled upon a lot of shoes by the front door. It was fun to put them in order by length (how short or tall) ,starting with the shortest and ending with the tallest.
Shoe order from shortest to tallest: Mrs. Maktari, Mr. Maktari, Aymen, then Unis.
How did your familiy’s shoes measure up? Send a picture

Backyard Scavenger Hunt – Since the weather is so beautiful, let’s have a backyard scavenger hunt. Take a picture of what you find in your backyard.
I saw this and had to repost it! Please give your children extra love and thank them for being such great children! We miss them!
“Everyone is applauding everyone but our children. These little heroes have stayed indoors more than they’ve ever known in their lives! Their whole world has literally been turned upside down and they don’t know why. All these rules they’ve never known. Not being able to see family or give hugs. Vacation, sports and activities, playdates and schools canceled. Adults talking about others becoming unwell, news reporting death after death. Our poor children’s minds must be racing. Everyday their resilient little bodies get up and carry on despite all that’s going on. So here’s to our little heroes: today, tomorrow, forever!”
Below are a few pictures of our heroes busy learning!
