As your child completes math work in their math books and comprehension questions in their notebooks, please take a picture and send it to me daily through message. I will be checking the assigned websites as well. Thanks for your support during this time.

Students are expected to be reading everyday for 30 min and answering their comprehension questions. Additionally, they are expected to do 30 min of math and reading on IXL, Zearn, Exact Path, or Study Island. I will be checking to see who is going on and will be messaging parents individually for those who are not doing any work. Thanks for your continued support.   • Mystery Science – Mystery Science features multimedia science units for K-5. Each lesson consists of a series of short videos and prompts guide student discussion. This is followed by an experiment that can be done at home. Teachers can send students specific lessons via a link. Students do not have to be logged on to Mystery Science! Based on Public Law 306 (October 2016), third grade studentswho are more than a year below grade level on the state ELAassessment are under consideration for retention in third grade.Dearborn Public Schools staff in elementary schools have beensystematically planning to ensure that teachers have the trainingto teach reading effectively and that students receive small groupinstruction based on their needs. The current year second gradersare the first group to potentially be impacted by the legislation.
