New Science Curriculum
This year all middle school students at Dearborn Public Schools were provided a new science curriculum. The new Mi-STAR (Michigan Science Teaching & Assessment Reform) curriculum helps students engage in more hands on activities and a lot more fun learning experience. With the Mi-STAR curriculum, students become solution builders as they use science and engineering practices to address a real-world challenge that spans each unit. This new curriculum includes new equipment, more resources, and more experiments. The old curriculum included a lot of reading and textbooks, the new curriculum focuses more on hands on activities and group discussions. Teachers want to teach their students different concepts for everyday scenarios.
