Today some children volunteered to bring an item for our Holiday Party this Wed. at 2:30.  I sent home a note with the item highlighted.  If you are unable to bring the item, it’s not a problem- just let me know.  If  you had already volunteered then I did not sent home a note today.  Thanks again to everyone for your support.

Today the students have their new spelling words. As usual the spelling city is due Friday and test will be Friday.

Hope the Social Studies is going well.  As a reminder, the study guide is due Wed. and the test is on Wednesday too.  Also the map is due Thursday.

We will be finishing up Math ch.4 this week.  The study guide will come home on Wed.  It will be due Friday and the test will be Friday.

It’s Thursday so your child is bringing home a new reading log for this week.  Next Wed, your child will be taking a DIstrict Social Studies Test for Unit 2.  Today your child is bringing home a folder with the review.  Please help your child review and send in the review signed on the 18th.  Attached to the review is a note about the landforms.  It is to inform you that although the landforms were part of Unit 2, they will not be assessed on the District test but will be assessed at a later date.  Please focus on the other areas for review.  Thanks!

P.S.  The holiday party is at 2:30 on Wednesday, Dec. 18.  You are welcome to join us!     Mrs. Beauchamp has a list posted outside my room.  Items needed include:  Two 5 lb.  bags of Sugar, bag of 75 or more of cotton balls, grapes, apples, other fruit, cheese cubes, desserts such as cookies or cupcakes. Today your child is bringing home the Me On the Map Test to be signed and returned tomorrow.  Also this is a reminder that the reading log is due tomorrow.  Happy Reading!

Today your child is bringing home a Social Studies Review stapled to the “Me On the Map Book” that your child made.  Please use the review sheet and the student book as a guide to study for the test on  Tuesday, December 10.  Thanks.

Today your child is bringing home the Chapter 3 Math Post test.  Please sign and return  it to school tomorrow.  A new reading log is also being sent home and is due next Thursday. Your child needs to read a minimum of 20 minutes daily.  Tomorrow is Spelling  Lesson 11 test so the practice test is available on spelling city.  Finally, your child is bringing home the communities project.

Tomorrow the reading log is due. Also our class will be shopping at the Santa Workshop tomorrow.  Today your child will be bringing home a map project for social studies that is due on December 19.  Have your child make a practice map by following the directions and checking each item off.  Then have your child make a final copy on the construction paper provided.  Again your child should check off each direction as it is completed.

Monday, December 2 is the PBiS Celebration.  The November reward is playing board games.  Please send in games that your child already knows how to play and label the games with your child’s name.  Also your child may bring in a junky snack.  Thanks.

Congratulations!  On Friday, Nov. 22  your student will bring home one child general admission ticket for the Festival of Trees at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.  The festival is Nov. 14- Dec. 1.  The tickets were given to our class for having the most attendance at Open House.

This week’s spelling words are irregular plurals.  I shared the cold words with the students today as the list words don’t have a common vowel pattern.  The cold words are man, men, woman, and women.

Your child is bringing home the chapter 3 math review.  It is due on Monday, November 21 and the test will be on Monday also. Please have your child complete it and review, then return it with a parent signature.  If it is completed tonight, keep it at home to review for Monday.

Please continue to have your child read each day  20 minutes.  The reading log sent home today will be due two weeks from today (December 5) because of  the Thankgiving Break.

We have had 100% participation for the first two nights of conferences and I am looking forward to seeing everyone today for the last evening of conferences this fall.  Thanks for your wonderful support!
