Please review the District Social Studies Unit 3 study guide for tomorrow.  The study guide was sent home last Wednesday.  It includes big ideas, vocabulary, and a written response.  The response needs to have an opinion, reasons, examples, and a closing sentence.  Please have your child complete the practice written response on the vocabulary as part of the review.

Spelling test 17 tomorrow.

We are starting to get low on tissues for the classroom.  It would be helpful if everyone could each bring in one more box.  Thanks!

We were going to take the Social Studies Unit 3 test today during our computer lab time, however, due to the school closing today it will be rescheduled.  It may be this Friday or it may need to be moved to next week.  I will post the new date when it is determined.  The reading log will be due on Thursday and this week’s spelling test will be Friday.  Stay warm!

Today your child is bringing home a study guide for the Unit 3 District Social Studies Test.  Please study and review for the test next Wed., Jan. 29.  In addition, remember reading logs are due tomorrow.  Also as a reminder, the spelling 16 test is not until Monday, Jan. 27.  Thanks!

Just a reminder that the Science Water Cycle test is tomorrow!  Today your child is bringing home the week 16 spelling words.  The Spelling Test will be on Monday, January 27 because the students are not in school this Friday.  The week 16 spelling city will be due on the 27th too.

Today your child is bringing home the science book along with the Science Study Guide.  Please help your child review the study guide, book, and other water cycle sheets to prepare for the  Water Cycle Test on Wed., Jan. 22.  Ask your child to sing to you the water cycle song and to tell you about the water cycle in a bag  made in class.  Also your child is bringing home the weekly reading log which is due next Thursday.  I appreciate you supporting your child in reading at home daily.  Enjoy the three day weekend with your child!

Welcome back!  Hope you had a nice break with your children.  Today your child is bringing home a reading log which is due next Thursday, Jan. 16. Please continue to support your child in reading daily for at least 20 minutes.  If your child forgot to turn in the log completed during break, please return it to school tomorrow.

Today your child is bringing home the Week 14 spelling words.  The spelling city practice test will be due next Tuesday, Jan. 14.  We will have the Week 14 final test in class that day too.  Week 15 words will be sent home on the 14th and that test will be next Friday as usual.

Thanks to all who helped make our holiday party a success.  I appreciate all the wonderful food sent in and I appreciate the help during the party also.  Thanks too for your generosity and gifts.  I feel so lucky to work with such a great group of students and parents.

We enjoyed lots of holiday food and we had fun today making reindeer food and a Santa ornament.

As we finish up the week, the boys and girls will look forward to sharing their map projects tomorrow.  In addition, they will turn in their reading log.  Today we started our Unit 4 Math Review and your child brought it home to finish and study for Friday.  (The Social Studies online test went well today!  Your child should be able to tell you his/her score.)
