Homelink 4.1and Social Studies Map Project

I did a survey earlier to determine the number of students that had printers to print Home Links homework for math. However, it is no longer a concern due to Mr. Meister’s generosity.  He has offered to print the home links for the whole class.  That will make it easier for all of us!  Thanks again, Mr. Meister!  I will state on the blog if one is sent home and it needs to be completed and turned in the next day.  Today Home Link 4.1 is being sent home and it should be completed for tomorrow.

Also today your student is bringing home  a social studies map project.  The directions are given along with the points for completing each part.  On the back of the directions is an example.  Along with the directions is a piece of white construction paper for the project.  It is due Friday, December 5.

Spelling 11 post test is tomorrow and the words are on Spelling City for review.

Thanks.

Please continue to work on the basic facts.

Thanks.

Reading Log not due until Tuesday, November 25

Today your child is bringing a new reading log attached in the Everyday folder.  I will not collect it next Thursday, however, it will be collected on Tuesday, November 25 before the Thanksgiving break.

Please continue to encourage your child to read daily 20 minutes.  Also, please encourage your child to practice the basic addition and/subtraction math facts daily too.  Your child needs to know the facts.  Practicing 10-20 minutes each day will help your child learn them.

Social Studies Study Information in “Red Folder” today!

Your child will be taking the first District Assessment Social Studies test in the computer lab next Tuesday, October 28.  In preparation for the test, today your child made a red folder from construction paper.  Inside the “folder” is a sort that your child completed to help study the three kinds of communities.  Also in the ” red folder”  is a study guide with a letter attached.  In addition, there are two booklets that your child made about key ideas that we have been studying.  Please keep it all in a “safe place” so that you and your child can review.  The classwork should be reviewed but does not need to be returned to school.  However,  please review, sign, and return the study guide on Tuesday, October 28.  Thanks!  Happy studying!
