Prepdog homework,Field trip tomorrow morning and NWEA testing tomorrow and Wed.

We are looking forward to the field trip to the Dearborn Historical Museum tomorrow.  If you are chaperoning, please be here before 9:10 as the bus is scheduled for us from 9:10-11:30.  The forecast shows that rain is likely, so be sure that your child is dressed for the weather as we will be walking between buildings at the Museum.

We will return to school around 11:30.  We will have lunch at school and we will be doing the NWEA Math test tomorrow afternoon.  The NWEA Reading test is Wednesday morning.

I would like the students to do prepdog.com today and tomorrow for  homework.  Today, please do the math test practice on prepdog and tomorrow do the reading practice.

Thanks.

Publishing Center Books were sent home today to finish.

Thanks for the great typing of the publishing center books.  Your young authors are very creative!  We have been working on the front and back covers as well as the spine of the book.  Many students have a good start on their illustrations inside the book too.  Please have your child complete the book and return no later that next Thursday, May 7.  The colored pencils were sent home too.

Tomorrow is Spelling Posttest 29,

I’ve been hearing some interesting stories about the Science Investigation!

Publishing Center Book, PBIS reward, and Science Investigation

We are working on the publishing center book covers and illustrations in class today and tomorrow.  Then they will be sent home again in the gallon bags along with the colored pencils to finish the illustrations at home.  Have your student draw in pencil first, then color with the colored pencils.  I would suggest doing an illustration on every other page of the book instead of every page at first, then if time do the rest.   The book needs to be completed and returned in the gallon bag by next Thursday, May7.

This Friday, May 1 is the April PBIS Reward.  If your child earned the reward, your child may bring in a towel/blanket and a junky snack to enjoy a beautiful afternoon outside weather permitting.  Also there will be a short scavengur hunt on a short walk around the neighborhood.

Hope you are enjoying the science project investigation.
