Today PBIS information was sent home today.  Read over and discuss it with your child.  Signatures required.  Cut at dotted line and return tomorrow.

Math Unit 1 study guide sent home yesterday is due on October 14.

Today your child is bringing home a new reading log for the week that is due next Wednesday.  Please continue to have your child read daily, complete the log, and sign the log to verify reading.

We  began the Math Unit 1 Study Guide in class today.  Please have your child complete it and study it.  Turn it in next Wednesday, Oct. 14 which is the day of the test.  Please return with a parent signature.

Mrs. Bazzi, one of our class homeroom mother’s is sending home a letter and an envelope to collect money for the Boutique Basket.  Our theme is Michigan State University.  Thanks in advance for your support with this project with your donations.

The math worksheet sent  home yesterday should be completed and turned in tomorrow.  It is two sided.

Review for Week 2 spelling tomorrow.  Also give a few practice cold words with the cvc short i,e,u pattern.  The lists are available on spelling city.

Remember to read daily 20 minutes and fill in reading log attached in the folder.

Today your child is bringing home the first reading log of the year.  It is attached in the Everyday Folder.  Please monitor that your child reads at least 20 minutes each day.  Be sure it is a good fit book.  If your child misses 5 or more words on a page, it is not a good fit book.  The reading log should be filled in daily.  Please sign the reading log on Tuesday nights to verify that your child has read at home for the week.  Next Wednesday, your child will turn in this week’s log and get a new reading log.

Math homework is coming home today.  It is a 2 sided sheet so be sure that both sides are completed.  It is due on Friday, but it may be turned in tomorrow if done.

Keep practicing week 2 Spelling words.  To help your child prepare for the cold words, give your child additional consonant-vowel-consonant words that have short i, o, or u.

The district has a bullying survey and asked teachers to send it home with thirteen random students in class.  Please check your child’s homework folder to see if your child was given one.  If so, please fill it out and return tomorrow.

The field trip was great!  Thanks again to the parents that joined us.  Thanks too to Mrs. Eid for fixing fruit trays for the class to eat after the field trip!

Today your child attached Spelling Week 2 into the Every Day Folder.  The week 2 words are on Spelling City to be reviewed.  However, the test is next Friday due to the days off this week.

Thanks for sending in the paper towel tubes.  Please keep sending them in or send in extras if you have them.

Tomorrow is our first library check-out for this school year.  If your child brings home his/her books, please be sure they are returned each Tuesday.

Monday is the field trip to the Fire Safety House. Be sure your child has a jacket if needed Monday morning.  Please be here at 9 if you are chaperoning.  We will all ride there and back on the school bus. The following parents are  approved and have volunteered to go: Dalal Eid, Dannieyelle Armstrong, Stephanie Marek, Rodney Schook, Malak ElGhazzawi, and Kristyn Tousignant.   Thanks in advance for your help. Three children still have not turned in their permission slips.  I sent home new copies again today.  They must be turned in on Monday.

Mrs. Baloga has shared the date of the music concert.  Please get it on your busy calendars.  It will be on Thursday, December 10th at 6:30 pm.  Student report to our classroom at 6:20 wearing nice, dressy clothes.
