Today your child brought home the Social Studies Unit 3 Study Guide. It is inside a green folder made from construction paper. Please help your child complete and review the study guide. There is a writing section included. SIgn and return the completed study guide on Tuesday, January 19. The district test will be in the computer lab on that day.
We have many students who brought in the Raz-Kids Donation. Please turn in the $5 contribution tomorrow, January 13.
Tomorrow afternoon we will have the Reading NWEA test. It includes Language skills. Encourage your child to do Prepdog today and write it on the reading log. Have them do reading and/or language. Reading Logs are due tomorrow.

This weekend I would like for your child to do Prepdog Practice as we will do the NWEA for Reading soon. Please encourage your child to do one reading prepdog practice and one language prepdog practice. The practices involve reading, so the practice can count on the reading log.

Next week, your child will be bringing home the Chapter 4 Math Study Guide on Monday. The test will be on Thursday, January 14. On Tuesday, your child will bring home Social Studies Unit 3 study guide. This is a district test and it will be on January 19.

Tomorrow your child will have the Week 13 spelling test. The words for week 13 are on Spelling City.
Please look for a letter in your child’s Everyday Folder on Friday (tomorrow) about Raz-Kids. It explains the program and asks that each child contribute by Wednesday, Jan. 13th.

In addition, your child came home today with the Chapter 3 math test. Please go over the items missed with your child and sign and return so that I know that you saw the test results. I will send it home again at the end of the marking period for you to keep at that time.

I took down the awesome posters in the hallway today. I am sending home the project and the score sheet for the project will be in the Everyday Folder. I have written the last social studies test grade on the top of the project sheet. It was Unit 2 There were 22 possible.
The boys and girls had a great time at the holiday party yesterday! Thanks for all the goodies brought it. The table looked pretty with all the colorful treats! Also thanks to all of you that were able to join us! I really appreciate all your help with everything!
After school today, you may think that I have a group of elves with me. Don’t worry, it’s just the boys and girls in their elf hats!
Please have your child read over break and play some math games on the computer. We do NWEA testing in January. It would be helpful for your child to do prepdog over break. I would encourage doing reading, language, and math practice tests.

Today your child brought home a reading log. Please be sure that your child reads daily. Some students are not reading a minimum of 20 minutes daily according to the reading logs.For those that are doing a lot of reading. Keep it up! The reading log is due Wed., January 6 after the break. Therefore, the log should reflect 3 weeks of reading.
Friday is the PBIS reward. There will be a movie and your child may bring in a junky snack if your child earned the reward.
