Spelling Week 17 test is tomorrow.  It is open on Spelling CIty.The students took the Everyday Math Chapter 5 Test today, and they will do the Chapter 5 DEC test

The Math Unit 5 study guide is due tomorrow as we will be having the Unit 5 test tomorrow too.  The study guide should be completed, studied, and signed by a parent.

Your child is bringing home  a letter about a geometric project we will be doing in class.  Please read it and let me know if you would like to send something in.

The report cards for the second marking period will be coming home soon.  I’m not sure if it will be today or later this week.  The report card envelope will also have a copy of the latest NWEA testing.  You may keep your copy of the report card and the testing.  Please sign then return the envelope empty.

Today your child brought home the Math 5 Study Guide.  We worked on it in class, but it needs to be completed, reviewed, and checked by a parent.  Please return on Thursday with a parent signature so that I know it was seen and reviewed.

In addition, we are going to have a Shapes Museum the next two days.  Please have your child bring in a three dimensional object to share with the class.

Spelling Week 17 is on Spellilng City to use.

We did Raz Kids in the computer lab today and everyone was able to get on, so encourage your child to use it.  Be sure that they read the stories instead of only listening.  I also want them to do the quiz and go back to the selection for the evidence of the answer.

We have 10 students that have bought Leader In Me Tshirts. so far. The orders are due Feb. 18.

I read Charlotte’s Web to the class and we loved it!  On Friday morning, we are going to watch the movie.  Your child may bring in a junkie snack for the movie.

Today your child brought home the Math Unit 4 tests.  There are 2 grades.  On grade is on the Dearborn District Test and one grade is on the Everyday Math Test.  Please go over the tests with your child .  Have your child do the ones missed on a different piece of paper.  Please sign and return so that I know that it made it home!  Also, I am unable to send the Social Studies Test home as it is on the computer.  I recorded the test percentage with a blue marker on the top of the Math Unit 4 test to inform you of your child’s grade on it.

In addition, your child brought home a green construction paper folder with a note and activity sheets to study and review for a Science Quiz on Thursday about sources of water and uses of water.

Spelling City has this week’s words on it and Spelling Week 16 words are attached to study for Friday.

The Leader In Me T-shirt note went home last week. It will be exciting if all the staff and students have t-shirts.  The orders can be sent in through February 18.

Today your child is bringing home a new reading log that is due next Wednesday.  As a reminder, spelling week 15 is on spelling city.

Just a reminder that the District Social Studies Unit 3 Test is in the computer lab on Tuesday, January 19.  Please help your child study and review.  Return the study guide completed and signed on Tuesday also.
