Science Fair Materials and Ch. 8 Math Review coming home tomorrow and more Spring things.

Welcome back!  Tomorrow is library so please return books.  Week 25 is on Spelling City.  If you did not send in the report card envelope today, please sign and return it tomorrow.

This is the busy time of the year!  Tomorrow your student will be bringing home the materials and display board for the Science Fair.  The information and due dates are all in the packet.  The completed Science Board is due on Thursday, April 21.

Also, tomorrow  your child will be bringing home the Ch. 8 Math review to complete and study for the test on Friday, April 8.  I will send home the Landform study guide on Thursday, April 7 and the test will be on Wednesday, April 13.

Another Spring project is the LIndbergh Publishing Center.  I will be sending  home the story and About the Author page that your child has written and a Bare Book along with instructions this week beginning tomorrow.  Check your child’s folder as I will send it home with a few students  each day.  Follow the instructions and turn it in by Tuesday, April 12 so that we have time to do the cover and illustrations too.

Thanks for your support!

Report cards and More

Today your child brought home a report card.  Please sign the envelope and return in on Monday, April 4 so that I know that you saw it.  If your student was out at the end of the day, you may get the report card on April 4.  Yesterday,  your child brought home the tests from this marking period.  They do not need to be returned.

The geometric animals are awesome.  If you get a chance after break, please stop by the media center to see how your children used their imaginations as they learned the 2D and 3D shapes!  Also, if you are in the building, stop by and look at the lockers as each student has a picture with the artifacts that he/she brought in.

Thanks again for sending in the flour and the salt.  We had fun making our 3D model of the land features today!  We will  be having a test on the land features after break.  I will send home more information then.  Some students wanted the recipe for homemade playdough.  We used 3/4 cup of flour and 1/4 cup salt.  Add a few  tablespoons of water.  Knead mixture together until it is the consistency of bread dough.  Mold and play.  Have fun!

Have a happy and safe break!  See you April 4.
