We are taking a class picture for the entry display case on Friday.  If your child has a Lindbergh shirt, please have your child wear it or wear a different shirt that is red.

You will notice when the display for September is done, our class earned the Golden Paintbrush and the Golden Hallway!  Yeah Lindbergh Flyers Room 211!

Reminder that tomorrow is gym and Week 4 SPELLING WORDS are posted on Spelling City.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is week 2 spelling test.  Spelling City has a practice test that is great to do.

Please have your child read 20 minutes daily.  I will be sending home a reading log in October, so we need to start establishing that in the daily routine!

In addition, the Homeroom moms have started to collect for the Holiday Basket.  A note and envelope were sent home today  Thanks so much to the  homeroom moms!  They are  Gina Mroczka, Nicole Bazzi, and Marie Lamb !

We will do the Reading NWEA test on Monday, Sept. 19 in the afternoon and Wednesday afternoon, September 21 we will do the Math NWEA.  Please be sure your child has headphones at school to keep at school.

We have gym on Monday, so send in gym shoes.

We took the spelling week 1 test today.  I have the students graph their spelling scores before they take it home, so tests usually go home the next Monday or Tuesday that follow the test.  I will send home a letter on Monday with directions for Spelling City as I will use this site each week.

Thanks for the great participation with open house!     I will send home the conference schedule soon with the families that still need a conference time.

Please study Week 1 test for the first spelling test tomorrow!

On Tuesday your child brought home week 1  spelling words.  There are 5 cold words for the short a and short i pattern.  On  Friday, there will be 5 hot words with the same pattern.  Those are words that are not practiced but follow the pattern.  In addition there are 5 Dolch words.  Dolch words are common words.  I have put the 10 words on Spelling City for Week 1.  There are free games to practice the words.  The website is https://www.spellingcity.com/henry223/

I typed  in the spelling city and it worked, but it didn’t work from the blog.  Let me know how it goes for you as there is more than one way to get to it.

Tomorrow is gym so please have your child wear gym shoes.
