Today your child brought home science homework that is due Mon., Dec. 12.

1.  Social Studies test this Wednesday.
2.  Continue working on map project for social studies.
3.  Read 20 minutes daily.
4.  Do prepdog.org second grade math basic test 3 and reading basic test 3 this week.  We did the basic test 2 today for reading and math in the computer lab.

Today your child is bringing home the social studies study guide in a pink construction paper folder.  The guide has big ideas, vocabulary, and some activities to complete.  Also the folder has the regions to study.  Inside the folder are two books your child made. One on transportation and one that compared the different size of regions.  Also, there is some work about positive and negative consequences.  We read and watched the Lorax to learn about the different consequences.  Please study and return the completed study guide on Wed., Dec.7.  Your child will take the District test in the classroom on a chrome book.

1. MATH Chapter 3 review due this Friday for test.
2. Spelling Week 11.
3. Read 20 minutes.
4. Practice basic math facts.
5.  Do prepdog.org practice.
6. SS Map project sent home yesterday due Dec. 22.

The map project directions with example on the back is paper clipped to a piece of white construction paper that will be used for the map.  Please follow the instructions and return the completed map on Thursday, December 22.

Please have your child do a rough draft on a different piece of paper and use the white construction paper for the final copy.  Please do not use a different size of paper for the final project.
