The geometric animals look amazing and the students did a wonderful job identifying the 2D and 3D shapes!  You may see them in the Media Center.

Science Boot Camp Packet, materials, and display board were sent home today. Reminders……

Artifact for Classroom Museum, Ch. 5 Tests Returned, Reading Log Due, Landform items needed

Today your child is bringing home a note about our Classroom Museum!  We want to create a museum of artifacts in our classrooms as part of our Social Studies unit on the history of our community.  Please have your child complete the artifact card and send in the artifact on Thursday, March 9.  Please do not send it in before that day.  We are looking forward to sharing and learning about different artifacts.

Please return the Ch. 5 math test signed if you have not yet turned them in.

The reading log is due tomorrow.  Your child should be reading at least 20 minutes daily.

We need the flour and salt for our land form play dough project.   Please send in by Friday, March 3. If your child’s class number is even, please send in 3/4 cup flour or if your child’s class number is odd, please send in 1/4 cup of salt.  Please send the flour or salt in a labeled zip lock bag.

Tomorrow is the board game reward.  Be sure your child’s name is on the box if you send in a game.

Items needed for landform project in class, ch. 5 math tests, and other class news.

We are studying landforms on the Earth’s surface in Social Studies and Science.  Each student will be making a model of the Earth’s surface with play dough. We will be making the play dough with flour and salt.  Each child has a class number.  If your student is an even number, please send in a dry 3/4 cup of flour.  If your child is an odd number, please send in 1/4 cup of salt.  Thank you in advance for sending it in and for measuring the flour and/or salt.  Please send the flour or salt in a ziplock bag with your child’s name on it by Friday, March 3.

The note from the office about the reward has the wrong date.  The reward is this Thursday, March 2.

Today your child is bringing home Ch. 5 math tests to sign and return tomorrow.

Happy Valentine’s Day Thank You!

Thanks to all who made the Valentine Party a success!  Thanks to the homeroom moms for the great activities!  The students enjoyed making a necklace or bracelet with beads, decorating a box for the Valentines, and getting candy from the surprise cup!  Thanks again to all the families that donated items for the party and thanks to all who joined us!   The students also enjoyed exchanging their Valentines!
