Social Studies Study Guide, Reading Log and Summary Due tomorrow. Other reminders.

- Math study guide due Monday, May 15.

Chapter 9 Math Study Guide went home today. Due on May 15 for test.
Today your child brought home the chapter 9 math study guide. The DEC and Everyday Math study guides were started in class but they have not been checked and they are not completed. Please have your child complete them and go over them with your child. Please return with parent signature on Monday, May 15 for the tests.
Reminders:
- Your child brought home the Social Studies Study Guide last week for the test on Thursday. Please have your child complete and review. Sign and return. The test will have multiple choice on the Chrome book and then complete the written section.
- Spelling Words are on spelling city.
- Read 20 minutes daily. Reading log and summary due Thursday.
- The publishing center books are amazing! They will all be ready for this Friday and they will be displayed in the Media Center.

District SS Test on Thursday, May 11. Study Guide sent home today. Publishing Center Books…..
Today your child brought home the study guide for the District Unit 4 Social Studies Test. It is inside a tan construction paper folder made by your child. Along with the study guide are activities completed in class. Please help your child study and complete the study guide. Please return the study guide completed and with a parent signature on Thursday, May 11.
The students have been working hard on their book covers and illustrations. Some students brought theirs home today to work on the illustrations. Please return on Monday.
Continue to encourage reading 20 minutes each day. Your child brought home a new reading log today with a summary form on the back to complete.

Publishing Center Reminders and NWEA
Thanks for your hard work editing and typing the Publishing Center story. Please remember to print an extra copy of the story and send it to school on May 3rd along with the book. It is for the Brainstormer’s.
We will probably do NWEA math testing on Wednesday of this week. I will let you know if I find out about the Reading NWEA.
Spelling lists are on spelling city for test this Friday.

Nine more publishing center books went home today. Reading log and summary due tomorrow.
We are finishing up our wonderful stories. Today these students brought their books, stories, and information home in a gallon bag: Nico, Ariyanah, Fatima, Neveen, Alex, Elijah, Zach, Charlie, and Brendan. Please read and edit the story with your child before typing. Directions are in the gallon bag too. All are due back on May 3. Please return in the gallon bag sent home.
Other reminders:
- Chapter 7 math tests went home today. Please sign and return so that I know that you saw them.
- Reading log and summary due tomorrow.
- If your child has a favorite quote, please send to school.
- Gym shoes tomorrow.

Twelve students are bringing home their publishing center books today. Due May 3.
The students have been working hard on their stories. As students finish them, they will be sent home along with parent letters and directions. All students will take them home this week and they are all due May 3. After conferencing with these students, they were sent home today with the following: Alora, Jade, Yusef, Abigail, Josie, Celine, Jad, Ali, Amina, Abbas, Kayla, and Thomas. Please keep them in a safe place. Enjoy! I will be sending home more each day this week.
