Conference notes, Math ch. 2, Science, Reminders

Today your child brought home a blue conference note with the date and time that you chose for your conference.  Please date and sign and return the bottom portion tomorrow.

The Ch. 2  Study Guide is due tomorrow.  It should be completed,reviewed, and signed by a parent for the test tomorrow.

Your child made a black  construction paper folder with some Science work completed in class.  It will be useful to help review for the Science test along with the study guide.  The test is Friday.

CH. 2 Math Study Guide sent home today. Halloween Party tomorrow.

Today your child brought home the CH. 2 Math Study Guide for Everyday Math and DEC.  Although your child did start working on it in the classroom, it will need to be completed and reviewed.  It needs to be returned on Thursday, Nov. 2 with a parent signature. The test is Thursday.

Tomorrow the homeroom moms have some fun things planned for the Halloween Party.  Please join us if you can.  The party will begin 2:25-2:40  and will end around 3:15 .  Thanks again to all who volunteered to send in items.  Students may not wear costumes but may want to wear orange and black!

Halloween Party Sign Up.

The following is a list of items from the homeroom moms for the Halloween Party that are needed.  The party is Oct.31 at 2:45 and all parents are welcome.  Thanks in advance.  Please don’t purchase until you receive a confirmation email so that we don’t have multiples.

1.12 apples washed and sliced:  Tatiana

2.  Two bags of washed and ready to eat grapes:  Leila

3.  2 bags of Smarties candy:  Abrahim

4.  24 food prepping clear plastic gloves: Ben

5.  Large bag of buttered popcorn:  Ben

6.  2 bags of halal candy corn:  Ben

7.  24 glazed donuts:  Ali

8.  22 string cheese:Ali

9.  22 pie pumpkins: ( Maybe 3 parents could each donate 7 or 8)

10. 1 case of mini Halloween water bottles: Charlotte

11 .2 plastic table cloths:  Abrahim

12 .22 plain white paper bags with handles:  Tatiana

13 .50 “tricks of treats; for game prizes:  Jaxon

14. 22 white paper plates: Ali

Please bring all food items to school the morning of Oct.31.  Please give nonfood supplies to Meredith Davis on Friday, Oct. 27 or Monday, Oct. 31 morning at the latest.

Science Materials Needed for Candy Melt Activity

  • We will be learning about properties and melting  by completing a candy melt activity.   The candy is for the activity not for eating. The following items are needed by Wednesday, Oct. 25.   Please let me know if you can send them in.  Do not purchase or send in until I email you as sometimes I get multiple volunteers.  Thanks in advance for your help. 🙂

Items needed:

  1.  *Aaliyah will bring 12 snack size or sandwich size ziplock bags each filled with 12 chocolate chips.
  2. * Michael will bring 5 snack size or sandwich size ziplock bags each filled with 12 jelly beans.
  3.  *Tatiana will bring 5 snack size or sandwich size ziplock bags each filled with 12 gummy bears.
  4. *Aaliyiah will bring 5 snack size or sandwich size ziplock  bags each filled with 12 caramels.
  5. *Ali will bring 13 styrofoam plates
  6. *Ali will bring all 15 containers.  One pack of Glad Size M food storage containers , 25 ounce, BPA free (They come in 5 count. Maybe three different parents could each send in one package of 5 as 15 are needed).
