Today your child brought home the Ch. 3 math study guide for DEC and Everyday Math stapled together.  Your child was given class time to get started.  Please have your child complete it.  Check over it together and practice the items.  Finally, please sign and return with your child on Friday.

We are studying maps in Social Studies.  If you have a map that you could send in with your child that would be great.

The weekly reading log is due tomorrow.  Please be sure the information is completed and sign.

Today your child attached Week 11 spelling words to the Everyday Folder. They are also in Spelling City.  Due to the short week, we will continue with Week 11 tomorrow and our test will be next Friday.

We finished up writing a letter to our local fire department at Dearborn FIre Station 2 and we also wrote letters to Veterans for their service.  We are going to mail the letters as I am sure they will enjoy receiving letters from your second graders!

Please send in a box of colored pencils for your child to use during Writer’s Workshop.   We are working on revising and editing and it is helpful to have the colored pencils as they will stand out in the writing.
